Artist's Description
This hard working crabber was trying to sell us some of their freshly caught crab. These fishermen are hard workers and the work is hot, gritty and tough. This is in the fishing village of Popotla just south of Rosarito. This is part of a series I am doing on Popotla for a documentary.
About Hugh Smith
A Philadelphia native, I have lived in Baja California for the past 3 years. I make photographs. Since my first Brownie Starflash when I was 6, I have tried to make photographs that make people think and touch an emotional spark in them. That is what motivates me as a photographer.
